Samael release new single with official video “Hail To The Sun”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.6.2026

A new single has been released by Samael, one of the most durable and significant bands in the industrial/black metal scene, as per Blabbermouth. “Hail To The Sun” is a sombre and majestic song about overcoming obstacles in life and choosing to take risks. With the release of “Black Matter Manifesto” in 2025, Samael’s first new song in eight years, the upbeat song with a stomping rhythm continues the band’s brilliant journey into the new era. One of the most significant forces in extreme metal, Samael was founded in 1987 and has been active continuously for almost 40 years. With their distinctive fusion of black, industrial, and symphonic metal, classics like “Worship Him” (1990) and “Passage” (1996) transformed the gloomy genres. With that distinctive sound, Samael keeps pushing the envelope with grandeur and sinister precision.

“In troubled times, it is good to come together around something that is meaningful to us all… and what better thing than the sun, which is one but experienced differently by each of us? ‘Hail To The Sun’ is an anthem that will see you through the summer and keep you warm when winter comes. The song is about overcoming adversity and seizing life’s opportunities.
