After James Hetfield made an apolitical remark at Metallica‘s recent performance at the Las Vegas Sphere, former Pink Floyd vocalist Roger Waters takes aim at him once more. Walter’s many remarks throughout the years, including his joke about Metallica being used to torture people, were revealed by host Katie Halper during a recent podcast interview.

He’s just showing that he’s a complete prick. He’s got an IQ of about three. I honestly don’t know why we’re talking about him because he’s a nobody. He may have a few hundred million dollars from wherever, but he’s a prick. [Hetfield is] no musician. I heard them. I heard them playing acoustic instruments, and they couldn’t. It was appalling. That’s neither here nor there, people like Metallica – I couldn’t care less.

An artist friend of mine wrote a great book [for children], called The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse, and on page three, the mole and the boy are sitting on a branch in a tree, and the mole says to the boy, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ And the boy says, ‘Kind.’ Well, it’s a shame this prick didn’t have somebody around him to explain being kind is way more important than all that loud music and bouncing around. Being kind, have some empathy for your fellow human beings.

Roger Waters is a political activist, musician, and singer-songwriter from England. As the bassist, he co-founded the rock group Pink Floyd in 1965. Up until his retirement in 1985, Waters served as Pink Floyd‘s chief lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and creative leader when the band’s principal songwriter, Syd Barrett, left in 1968. The concept albums “The Dark Side of the Moon” (1973), “Wish You Were Here” (1975), “Animals” (1977), “The Wall” (1979), and “The Final Cut” (1983) helped Pink Floyd gain global recognition.
