Rival Sons will head out on their forthcoming US dates with a temporary change to the touring lineup. Bassist Dave Beste is sitting out the band’s Domestic Bliss Tour, and Darwin Johnson, who has played with Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, will fill in.
In a statement shared on October 23, the band explained that Beste needs time away to address matters at home. The musicians expressed their support for his decision and thanked Johnson for joining the tour at short notice. They did not disclose further details about Beste’s circumstances or announce a firm return date.
The US run is scheduled to begin in Boise, Idaho, on October 30 and conclude in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on November 29. The Blue Stones and The Velveteers are due to join a number of the performances.
Rival Sons have also been working on new music, although an official release date for their next album has not been confirmed. Their previous studio records, “Darkfighter” and “Lightbringer”, were both issued in 2023.
