Belfast (Northern Ireland)-based alt pop dreamer Ria Timkin is stepping back into the spotlight with the bold and cinematic “Our Time“. Listen to the track below.
Timkin blends rich vocals, atmospheric synths, and bold rhythms into an evocative soundscape.
Ria Timkin first made waves as a solo artist, releasing a string of singles that culminated in a performance at the legendary Glastonbury Festival.
Seeking to expand her sound, she has teamed up with Jamie McNamee (bass, synth) and Harry Whyte (drums), forming a full band to bring her cinematic alt-pop vision to life.
With a full band behind her, Ria delivers on her ambitions to produce cinematic alt-pop for the dreamers, the doers, and those caught in between with her new EP.
Her upcoming EP, “Favourite Child”, due in April 2026, delves into the emotional rollercoaster of chasing your dreams – from being paralysed by fear and doubt to reclaiming your power and stepping boldly into the unknown.
Ria’s momentum continues to build: she recently received support from BBC Introducing and showcased her live credentials at a packed Output Belfast performance, Ireland’s premier music conference. The release of her new single, “Our Time,” shows that there is plenty more to come.
“Our Time” was recorded with Tom Wilding at Wildingsounds in Bristol, UK. Tom also recorded and co-produced the first single from the EP called “The Difference”. Tom has previously worked with such artists as Melanie C, Gabrielle Aplin, and Shane Filan.
“Our Time” is a promise to yourself to keep going – a reminder that though hardships, failures, and obstacles are inevitable, it’s the unwavering faith in your own path that will carry you through.

This song explores the feeling of an absolute trust that your time will come, no matter how long the road or how heavy the doubt. Moreover, it encompasses that steadfast belief that you will not do it alone – that the right people will stay and stand by your side.
“Our Time” captures that complete resolution to keep moving forward, because you know in your heart that it’s written in the stars.
