According to a recent survey by the affair website Victoria Milan and reported by MetalInjection, jazz lovers are nearly ten times more likely to cheat than heavy metal fans, so jazz fans… just behave, alright?
Three-quarters of unfaithful men and women claim they can’t stop thinking about their partner when they hear their favorite music, according to the survey (reported by The Sun) that asked over 6,500 people who admitted to having affairs.
The most “seductive” genres that were most likely to induce sexual fantasies in responders were jazz, salsa, and pop. The following is a ranking of other genres according to cheaters’ preferences.
Victoria Milan’s manager, Sigurd Vedal, pointed out that these temptations are largely caused by music’s emotional impact and capacity to evoke memories.
As long-term relationships progress, the excitement and passion slowly dies out and people start to look for that missing element outside their relationship.
Intimate encounters are sometimes enhanced by music, Vedal continued.
The song you listen to on your way to meet your lover, or the music playing while you’re intimate, becomes much more touching than the music you walked down the aisle to 10 years ago.
Good news for us then, right? Yay!
Last year, a survey revealed that people are twice as likely to choose seeing their favorite singer perform live over having sex, according to a website created by Live Nation. According to the results, 70% of respondents would prefer concerts over sex. An intriguing explanation for the discrepancy between the two responses can be found by scrolling further down the website. According to Live Nation, their conclusions are based on a sample of 40,000 respondents from 15 different nations. The age range of the respondents was 18 to 54.
