Speaking on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” on October 23, guitarist Slash of Guns N’ Roses discussed the status of the recording sessions for the upcoming album from his long-running band, Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. This is what he replied, as reported by blabbermouth.net.
It’s done. We still have to mix it. I’m gonna mix it in January. I think it’s in January — somewhere in there when I get back — and mix it and finish it up. But it doesn’t come out till 2027. But then we’re gonna do a full-blown tour. And that’s the thing, is I had to find a window where I could do a full-scale tour with the Conspirators. And I didn’t wanna release it until I was able to do that, and 2027 is the real window for it. So that’s when the record comes out.
He’s definitely happy about the result.
It’s really cool — the record’s badass. All things considered, I don’t like to hype a record up, but I’m excited about it.
Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators recording sessions were finished, as Slash previously disclosed in a social media post from August 2025.
Recording for #SMKC record number 5 is done today. Album title [to be confirmed]. This has been a super cool session all around. & we all agree it’s one of, if not the best one yet. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait till 2027 to weigh in, too much going on next year to put it out. But it will be worth the wait. Full blown world tour to follow!
