Danish alternative metal act Raunchy has announced “Prisoner”, their first studio album since 2014’s “Vices.Virtues.Visions”, due this summer through Mighty Music. The band re-signed with Mighty Music, which also released their first two records, “Velvet Noise” in 2001 and “Confusion Bay” in 2003.

Jacob Hansen handled recording, production, mixing, and mastering at Hansen Studios. Raunchy and Hansen go back a long way. He produced “Velvet Noise” and “Confusion Bay”, so his return for “Prisoner” is a full-circle moment for the band.

The first taste of the new material arrives on April 17, when lead single “Designed Despair” drops. More details on singles, videos, and touring will follow shortly.

Raunchy formed in 1992 in Copenhagen and have released six studio albums in total.
