American rock icons Rage Against the Machine “will not be touring or playing live again”, announced drummer Brad Wilk in a new statement released on January 3.
Rage Against The Machine were forced to cancel their reunion tour, which had already been postponed several times due to the pandemic, after vocalist Zack de la Rocha injured his leg in Chicago in July 2022, early in the tour. News of the cancellation came in October 2022, and there’s been no word of a new or rescheduled tour since.
Drummer Brad Wilk has now released an Instagram statement saying not to expect any new dates. “I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the canceled RATM shows,” he writes. “I don’t want to string people or myself along any further. So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again. I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”, Wilk stated.
