Queen’s Roger Taylor says Brian May has lost interest in writing a new song with Adam Lambert

Back in April, it was reported that Queen was working on new music with singer Adam Lambert, who has been the band’s lead singer since the death of Freddie Mercury.

However, it now seems that there is no point in getting our hopes up about new Queen material. Drummer Roger Taylor says so in a recent interview with Mojo.

When asked about the status of the song by Mojo, the drummer offered more insight. 

“Brian suddenly lost interest and I don’t really know why. We started it in Nashville when we were all quite tired. We couldn’t decide on a title and the lyric felt a little too negative for Queen, maybe. But it was pretty damn good, and I hope it comes to light.”
