Puscifer release “Congregation” (Low cover)

Author Benedetta Baldin - 4.2.2026

The song “Congregation” by Duluth, Minnesota-based slowcore group Low has been covered by Maynard James Keenan and his fellow members of alternative rock group Puscifer, as per theprp. In addition to paying homage to Low‘s late drummer and vocalist Mimi Parker, that song offers some aural commentary on the continuing immigration raids that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is carrying out in Minnesota this year. Mass protests and multiple fatal killings by ICE have been caused by such polarizing raids. This Friday, February 6th, Puscifer‘s new studio album, “Normal Isn’t,” will be released.

All the madness going on in Minneapolis sent me down a @lowtheband rabbit hole. Missing Mimi Parker. Carina suggested maybe we cover a song in her and their honor. Merchants of Emotion is in our job description. “Discovering New and Awful Ways to Treat Each Other” wasn’t on my Bingo card for 2026, but here we are. #worldwartres #civilwardeux #smalldickenergy
