Public Works is sliding into fall with the announcement of an all new EP: “Forklift Certified”. The project will arrive via Hopeless Records February 26, 2027 and include every bit of grit and guts you’ve come to know Public Works for. The first single – “Boy Scout” – is streaming now.
Public Works knows how to balance earnest lyrics with catchy choruses, and “Boy Scout” is no exception. “Boy Scout” talks about reminiscing on your past with some regrets but ultimately these experiences shaped you and as the song says, “if I had to do it again, I would do it again.”
The news rides the highs of recent singles like “Coors” and “I’m Cool, I’m Fine” as well as his recent run with Belmont, shows with Have Mercy, and rocking Ceremony Festival. Fans can expect big things from the band in the coming months, along with the release of Forklift Certified and will want to keep tabs on the New Jersey hitmaker.

ABOUT PUBLIC WORKS:
Public Works is the moniker of New Jersey singer-songwriter Jacob Dietrich, an artist turning heads with raw, emotionally charged songs that resonate long after the last note. Through stories of sobriety, ambition, and the restless urge to leave your hometown behind, Dietrich delivers music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. Blending blue collar grit with pop-punk energy, Public Works has carved out a lane entirely his own, building a rapidly growing career from the ground up. In 2026, Public Works signed with Hopeless Records and is currently in the studio working on new music.
