Prong signs to Napalm Records ahead of European tour

New York metal legends Prong have officially signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records, marking a new chapter in their nearly four-decade career. The announcement comes just ahead of the band’s European headline tour celebrating 31 years of their 1994 classic “Cleansing”.

The tour will kick of on July 30th in Hamburg and wrapping August 16th at Angeliter Open Air in Taarstedt. Support will come from Escuela Grind and Vlad In Tears, with stops at major festivals like Brutal Assault and Alcatraz Metal Festival.

Before heading overseas, the band will play a one-off hometown show in Amityville, New York. In October, they’ll return stateside for gigs at Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles and the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento.

Frontman Tommy Victor called the signing an exciting move, while also reflecting on the chaotic but memorable process of creating “Cleansing”, which included working with Terry Date at Electric Lady Studios.

Prong’s latest album, “State Of Emergency”, dropped in October 2023 via Steamhammer/SPV. Produced by Steve Evetts, the LP features the band’s signature genre-blending style and includes a cover of Rush’s “Working Man.”
