Primus announce their new drummer

After sifting through 6200 hopefuls in their search for a new drummer, multi-platinum alternative metal band Primus has found their latest drummer: John Hoffman. The latter, best renowned for his YouTube and social media performances, replaces Tim “Herb” Alexander, who left his position last October. As Primus documented online, there was no shortage of talent among those auditions, with artists such as Rory Dolan (lespecial), Thomas Pridgen (Fever 333, ex-The Mars Volta), Mike Stone, Stan Bicknell, Sam Groverman (Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio), Nikki Glaspie (The Nth Power, Snarky Puppy, etc.), Gergo Borlai, and Thomas Lang (stOrk, etc.) making it to the final round of in-person tryouts with the band.
