President stole the spotlight at Download Festival with their performance on the Dogtooth stage

On June 15th, President performed live for the first time at “Download Festival” in the UK. By sharing management with Sleep Token and using equally cryptic promotional tactics and visuals to generate attention, the enigmatic band was able to generate a significant amount of early excitement this year. Charlie Simpson of Busted and Fightstar is widely suspected of being the main man behind the mask after the band released two singles. A recent music video, nevertheless, tries to allay those fears and is often seen as a red herring. Five songs, including the two previously released singles “In The Name Of The Father” and “Fearless,” are played in the fan-filmed video of the band’s first “rally” that has appeared online.
