Belgian sludge and doom collective Predatory Void have released a new track titled “New Moon”. The song serves as the second preview from the band’s upcoming EP “Atoned In Metamorphosis”, which arrives on February 6, 2026 via Pelagic Records.
Predatory Void features members of Amenra, Oathbreaker, and Cobra The Impaler. Because of that lineup, the band naturally leans toward dense and oppressive sludge. Still, “New Moon” focuses more on tension and atmosphere than sheer weight. The track unfolds slowly and keeps a tight, ritualistic feel throughout.
Guitarist Lennart Bossu said “New Moon” was the first song written for the EP. He explained that it defined the overall direction early on. The lyrics reflect a constant search for wholeness that never truly succeeds. That idea mirrors the repeating cycle of the moon, which resets but never resolves.
After the debut album “Seven Keys to the Discomfort of Being”, the band now pushes deeper into introspective territory. With another track still unreleased, “Atoned In Metamorphosis” appears to focus on cohesion rather than expansion. For now, “New Moon” offers a clear picture of where Predatory Void currently stand.
