For their much-awaited musical comeback, Power Trip has inked a new contract with Blue Grape Music, as per theprp. Riley Gale, the leader of the Texan crossover band, accidentally overdosed and died in 2020, dealing a devastating blow. Following a three-year hiatus, the group started experimenting with getting back together, inviting Seth Gilmore of Skourge to cover vocals for an unexpected performance. They have performed at several events with that lineup in the past year, and they are now aiming to release their first new song since Gale’s passing. The band recently revealed their plans in a new Decibel cover story for May 2026, which you can purchase here.
However, Blue Grape Music recently announced on social media that the group had joined their roster. In May 2025, Blue Grape Music, which was founded by Roadrunner Records veterans, signed Power Trip offshoot Fugitive.
