Post-metal band Som released the title track of their March album “Let The Light In”

US post-metal band Som are back with a new single “Let The Light In”, which also serves as the title track of their upcoming third album. The album will be released on March 14th 2025 through Berlin-based Pelagic Records. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Samia Zaidi.

The song combines the band’s ethereal shoegaze roots with a heavy post-metal sound, creating what the band themselves call “doom pop”. Will Benoit’s vocals float above shimmering guitars, while half-tempo grooves and powerful riffs keep the song anchored to the band’s signature sound.

During the writing and recording process of the album, the band faced significant changes when founding member and drummer Duncan Rich left the band. This led to a renewed creative approach and a reworking of the material. In the new line-up, bassist Justin Forrest took over on drums and vocalist Will Benoit took over on bass.
