US post-metal band Pelican has released a new single called “Indelible”. The song is taken from the upcoming album “Flickering Resonance”, which will be released on May 16th via Run For Cover Records. You can listen to the new track below, as well as on streaming services.

The band finished recording the new album in September last year. It is the band’s seventh full-length album and the first to feature the band’s founding guitarist Laurent Lebec since 2009’s “What We All Come to Need”. Lebec left the band in 2012 and rejoined in 2022, and the band’s previous album “Nighttime Stories” was released in 2019.

The latest release combines the band’s traditional roots with modern influences. The collaboration with Run For Cover Records has highlighted the band’s diverse musical identity. The album reflects influences from 1990s post-hardcore, space rock and emo as well as traditional metal. Lebec describes how the band is now ready to acknowledge all the musical “outfits” it has worn over the years.
