In the upcoming Kiss film “Shout It Out Loud,” pop sensation Nick Jonas will play Paul Stanley. Along with his brothers Kevin and Joe, the singer is most recognized as one-third of the Jonas Brothers. Jonas has starred in Broadway productions, such as his current run in “The Last Five Years,” in addition to his band and solo music ventures. Among his television and film credits are the MMA drama series “Kingdom” and the two most recent “Jumanji” films. Deadline reports that McG, whose credits include “Charlie’s Angels” from 2000 and “Terminator Salvation” from 2009, will film “Shout it Out Loud.” Kiss‘ ascent to stardom in the middle of the 1970s will be the main subject of the film. It is anticipated that filming will start either late this year or early in 2026. According to the publication, Jonas will sing all by himself in the film and will “need time to train to replicate the jet-engine vocals of Stanley.” Additionally, it says that McG is pursuing a performer to play Gene Simmons, Stanley’s longtime bandmate. This will not be the first time that Kiss appears in a motion picture. The band made an appearance in 1999’s “Detroit Rock City”, which followed four young fans as they plotted to get into a Kiss concert, and starred as themselves in the much-maligned “Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park” in 1978. Stanley and Simmons also featured as themselves – in full costume and face paint – in the 2016 comedy “Why Him?”, which starred James Franco and Bryan Cranston.
