UK gothic metal veterans Paradise Lost have announced that they have parted ways with drummer Guido Zima. Zima joined the band in March 2023 and performed with them during their North American tour, but has now exited the lineup.

In an official statement, the band described the decision as “creative and difficult,” thanking Zima for his contributions and wishing him all the best for the future. They also asked for understanding and continued support from fans as the band enters a new chapter.

“We’ve made the difficult creative decision to part ways with our drummer, Guido Zima. We thank Guido for his contributions to the band and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We appreciate your continued support and understanding, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter with the band.”

The band explained in social media.

No replacement has been announced yet, though Paradise Lost does have several tour dates lined up for the year. It remains unclear how Zima’s departure will affect these previously scheduled shows.
