The creators of Lord Of Metal, Horns Up Games, are pleased to announce the release of their game and the start of its Kickstarter campaign, which has already reached and gone over the goal they set. “Lord Of Metal”, developed by Epic Games, Wargaming, and seasoned metal musicians, promises to provide a gaming experience just as intense as the riffs it honours. This purely sentimental homage to and from old-school gaming youth from the 1980s and 1990s combines rock and metal with video games. An honest game devoid of tricks and gimmicks. A dystopian world controlled by the Grey awaits you in Horns Up Games’ explosive new single-player story-driven heavy music festival management simulator, Lord Of Metal. Start small and aim high to bring life and colour to this bleak society. Get ready to be blown away.

This game, which is now starting a Kickstarter campaign, promises to be the best gaming and metalhead experience ever. Rock ‘n’ roll is a tough business, but Horns Up Games is happy to announce that Lord of Metal will be available on Steam in early 2027, with further releases scheduled for the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. Including DLCs and expansions, Horns Up Games wants to deliver an incredible premium core gaming experience on all major platforms. As Horns Up Games intends to have the first demo build available by the upcoming GDC (Game Developers Conference) event, fans can anticipate a sneak peek.

Hello there! My name is Pär and I play bass guitar in a heavy metal band Sabaton. For the past 25 years my life has revolved around the music industry: playing live shows, managing a band, performing at and organizing festivals. I wanted to make an exciting single-player game that I myself wanted to play. Not some mobile game with tons of in-app purchases and no gimmicks… So join us on this adventure and support us on Kickstarter. Pär Sundström

Lord Of Metal is a story-driven music festival management sim being developed for PC and consoles. We’re building our game in Unreal Engine 5 to ensure the best-in-class visual experience for our players. As avid gamers with decades of experience, we appreciate it when we know exactly what we’re getting. That’s why from the very start we’ve decided that we’re going to deliver the game as a single-player ‘box’ product. No in-game purchases, no game-as-a-service mechanics and tricks. In Lord Of Metal you get a glimpse of what’s going on ‘under the hood’ of festivals and find out what’s happening backstage, on and off site of the festival grounds.
