Following his passing, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame released the full all-star performance from heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne‘s induction ceremony last October. In addition to honoring Osbourne’s solo compositions, that induction brought together a diverse group of talented individuals to participate. His longtime solo guitarist Zakk Wylde, Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo (who was also a member of Ozzy‘s backup band), Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan, hard rock icon Billy Idol, multi-platinum country performer Jelly Roll, and others were among the musicians who participated. Osbourne himself did not sing during the official performance because of alleged health issues, but behind-the-scenes video from the big night’s rehearsals the day before has been making the rounds online. It features Osbourne singing his 1991 power ballad, “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” which supports earlier remarks made by Wylde. As it stands, that video shows Ozzy‘s penultimate “public” performance before his final live farewell at the “Back To The Beginning” concert, which took place in Birmingham, UK, a few weeks ago on July 5. According to legend, Jelly Roll was not there at the rehearsal even though she fronted the last cover of the song that was played during the real induction ceremony. As a result, Ozzy took up the singing duties, and Jack Black, who introduced him to the public, sat next to him.
