This Saturday, February 28, the BRIT Awards will celebrate the late heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, as per theprp. Pop sensation Robbie Williams will perform the title track from Ozzy‘s four-time platinum 1991 smash song “No More Tears” to end that awards evening. Williams will be supported by several of Ozzy‘s colleagues, including guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Robert Trujillo, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and keyboardist Adam Wakeman. The Prince of Darkness’ widow Sharon has organized this next event. In addition to that musical homage, Osbourne will receive the BRIT Awards’ lifetime achievement award posthumously. This was said by Stacey Tang, chair of this year’s BRIT Awards committee and co-president of RCA Records.
Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide.
This year’s GRAMMY Awards featured a similar posthumous musical tribute to Ozzy. After a long fight with illness, Ozzy died of a heart attack on July 22, 2025.
Tony Iommi, Osbourne‘s bandmate from Black Sabbath, and Williams had previously worked together.
