Nashville heavy hitters Orthodox have dropped their chaotic new single ‘Commit To Consequence’ featuring Comeback Kid vocalist Andrew Neufeld via Century Media Records. Orthodox frontman Adam Easterling shares:
‘Commit to Consequence’ is about taking accountability for the wrongs you’ve done, and dealing with the fallout; delivered through the extreme metaphor of finding out if your skull is bullet proof.
Orthodox whose reputation for fervent, visceral live shows have become a staple on hardcore and metalcore scenes after forming nearly fifteen years ago. Their distinct, nu-metal-tinged brand of metallic hardcore has carved its own lane. ‘Commit To Consequence’ is their first taste of new music this year and sees the band progressing into heavier territory.
The track comes just ahead of Orthodox’s two week tour supporting Comeback Kid who are celebrating two decades of their seminal hardcore album “Wake the Dead”. Easterling, who befriended Neufeld on the road, reveals:
Comeback Kid was an act I kept up with when every new record dropped. They got me into hardcore when I was in high school and Andrew is one of the strongest and most versatile vocalists in hardcore of the last 20 years.”
Their run kicks off in Winnipeg this Saturday and includes dates in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Austin and more. For more info, find Orthodox on Instagram.
