After selling out Alcatraz in Milan in October, Opeth have announced their return to Italy.
The prog/death metal band led by Mikael Åkerfeldt will be back for two unmissable dates next summer: the Swedish group will play on Friday 10 July 2026 at the Anfiteatro degli Scavi in Pompeii (NA) and on Saturday 11 July 2026 at Sequoie Music Park in Bologna.
Before Opeth, the American band Blood Incantation will take to the stage, a band that is rapidly gaining popularity among fans of tech-death and progressive death metal.

After more than three decades at the forefront of progressive metal, Swedish icons Opeth will bring their monumental live experience to Italy for two exclusive summer dates in 2026.

10 July Pompeii–Anfiteatro Degli Scavi and 11 July Bologna–Sequoie Music Park: following the announcement of several European dates (Halifax-United Kingdom, Dublin-Ireland, Rättvik-Sweden), these Italian shows promise to be among the most evocative moments of Opeth’s upcoming tour cycle, set in two stunning Italian locations.
From the ancient ruins of the Amphitheatre of Pompeii to the open-air stage of Bologna’s lush and vibrant Parco delle Caserme Rosse, home to the acclaimed Sequoie Music Park, fans can expect an engaging performance spanning Opeth’s legendary catalogue from timeless classics to selections from their latest album, “The Last Will and Testament”.
Recent winners of the 2025 Swedish Grammy Award, Opeth continue to redefine the boundaries of progressive music with their signature blend of darkness, beauty and technical mastery. Each performance is an emotional journey, and these Italian dates promise to be nothing short of extraordinary. They will be joined by special guests Blood Incantation, the acclaimed visionaries of cosmic death metal, who will make the atmosphere of these evenings unparalleled.
