Swedish death metal band Opeth have revealed that they will perform live in Ireland just once in 2026, as theprp reports. The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin has that concert scheduled for August 2. The group has stated that the gig is “part of a series of special concerts in unique venues across the summer of 2026, continuing Opeth’s tradition of innovative live experiences,” even though that stop is their only scheduled performance in that nation this year. At 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, October 14, pre-sales will begin. Additionally, the general onsale is scheduled for this Thursday, October 16th, at 10:00 a.m.
Not even 10 days ago, it was revealed that the Piece Hall in Halifax, UK will host Opeth‘s one-time UK headline performance The Swedish prog rock group has advertised that date as their only performance in the UK in 2026. On August 1st, they will perform with an as-yet-unannounced supporting act. It’s already possible to get tickets for this show.
A bit before that, Swedish dark metal band Katatonia was being confirmed as special guest for the North American tour of the Swedish progressive metallers Opeth.

Before the joint North American tour, Katatonia will embark on a UK and European tour starting in November 2025, with Evergrey and Klogr as guests. Opeth will kick off their European tour tonight in Hamburg, Germany, with a completely sold-out show. For the entirety of the European leg, Opeth will be joined by Paatos as special guests.
