Danish prog metal outfit Only Human drops “Techno Fascist”, the third and final preview single from their debut album “Planned Obsolescence”. The record will be released on March 27, 2026 through Season of Mist.

The track confronts what vocalist Patrick Grønbæch Christensen describes as the privatized technocratic forces shaping modern society. Christensen explains that the song’s central argument: technology increasingly presents itself as inevitable, yet people still have a choice about whether to surrender their humanity to systems that direct their every action. The band backs this message with their fusion of prog, classic rock, and modern metal.

“Planned Obsolescence” also carries a broader concept. Christensen explains that the album’s title refers to how tech companies engineer products to expire, pressuring consumers to keep upgrading. He extends that logic to people, noting that influencer culture and social media have turned human beings into disposable content. The record, he says, aims to challenge that reality rather than accept it.

The album spans eight tracks across roughly 40 minutes. A Bandcamp Listening Party ran on March 17, 2026. Pre-orders are open now, with the release available on CD digipack and multiple vinyl variants.
