Norwegian hardcore punk group Ondt Blod, formed in Kirkenes and now based in Tromsø, have released a sharp new single titled “AUX”. The band return after seven quiet years, and the track hits fast with no warm up. It mixes raw energy with a direct message, because the lyrics fire at friends, enemies and industry figures. The song also feels like a loud goodbye to Oslo, since it talks about walking away from the capital for good.

“AUX” keeps the band’s known mix of hardcore force, catchy hooks and Northern Norwegian vocals. Yngve Andersen of Blood Command produced the track and Simon Jackman handled the mix. Their work keeps the edges sharp instead of smoothing them out. The single also gives the first taste of the upcoming album “Bauta”, which arrives on March 13 through Playground Music.

Ondt Blod have built their name on a blend of punk attitude, political themes and a clear Sami identity. They have toured with Kvelertak, played major festivals and gained a strong live reputation. Their return feels natural, since “AUX” shows the same fire that shaped their earlier work. Fans of hard hitting punk now have a new reason to turn the volume up.
