Oceans Of Slumber, progressive doom metal band from Texas, just released their cover of the gold-certified hit “Wicked Game” from 1989 by Chris Isaak. This cover will be featured on the band’s upcoming sixth album “Where Gods Fear To Speak”, coming out September 13th through Season Of Mist.

The band had previously planned to cover the song “Crying” by Roy Orbison, but ended up changing their plans spontaneously. Oceans Of Slumber drummer Dobber Beverly commented:

“When we were in Colombia, I heard a club remix of “Wicked Game” while out at a restaurant. It was so bad that I needed to go and make things right in my head. […] We’ve taken the raw and heavier direction of our last two albums and elevated it to the scale of a blockbuster IMAX movie. Our cover of “Wicked Game” is the song that plays over the end credits.”
