NYOS releases new single “Superstar” from upcoming album “Growl”

Finnish instrumental duo NYOS have unveiled the second single “Superstar” from forthcoming album “Growl”, slated for release on October 11th via Pelagic Records.

The track follows their earlier single “Get Ready”, which dropped in late July 2025 alongside a sleek visualizer video filmed by the band in April of the same year. The album is available for pre-order now, and fans who order early can stream or download the lead track immediately.

“Growl” marks NYOS’s most ambitious and textured work yet. With mastering by Guy Davie — known for his work with Foals, Bloc Party, and Jon Hopkins — the album expands their signature loop-based approach into denser, more cinematic soundscapes, blending technical precision with emotional dynamism.

Formed in Jyväskylä, Finland in 2014, the duo comprises guitarist Tom Brooke and drummer Tuomas Kainulainen. Their hypnotic, polyrhythmic music blends post-rock, math rock, and doom influences, harnessing loops and explosive drumming to create immersive sonic landscapes.

Their upcoming album “Growl” is being touted as their longest and most emotionally complete release to date, offering a journey from vibrant intensity to fragile atmosphere, all while retaining the raw energy that’s become their hallmark.
