Nylist drops new single “Chronopsychosis” ahead of concept album

Canadian musician Nylist has released his latest single “Chronopsychosis”, marking the beginning of the final chapter in what he calls the Origins era. The single arrives ahead of his ambitious new concept album “Rebirth”, which will complete the story he’s been building across previous releases.

According to Nylist, Rebirth is a multi-chapter album that explores four elemental themes: Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. Each section carries its own emotional and sonic tone, taking listeners through a full narrative journey. The album features an extensive tracklist, including collaborations with several notable heavy music names such as Travis Worland (Enterprise Earth), John Robert C. (Crystal Lake), Taylor Barber (Left to Suffer), and Dennis Schuler (Gutrectomy), among others.

The record’s structure highlights Nylist’s cinematic approach to songwriting, blending metalcore, deathcore, and ambient textures. Tracks like “Labyrinth” (with In Gloom), “Sick In The Head”, and “The Reaper’s Purgatory” showcase both his heavy production style and his growing collaborative network within the modern heavy scene. “Chronopsychosis”, placed in the Water chapter of the album, serves as a pivotal emotional moment before the closing “Epilogue”.

“Rebirth will be available digitally on January 9, 2026, while physical vinyl and CD editions will ship in mid-November 2025. Both can be pre-ordered from here.
