Canadian extreme metal project Nylist roars back with a punishing new single “The Reaper’s Purgatory”, and this time he brings in Dennis Schuler, the vocalist of German deathcore act Gutrectomy, for extra flare. The song is from the upcoming concept album “Rebirth”, which arrives digitally on January 9, 2026. Physical formats follow later next year.

The new song hits fast and stays relentless. It leans into Nylist’s chaotic mix of deathcore force and slamming grooves. Dennis Schuler’s appearance pushes the intensity even higher. His guttural vocals cut through the mix, and they give the track a darker edge that fits the album’s theme. The story behind “Rebirth” explores four elemental chapters. This single belongs to the Water chapter, which brings a colder and more crushing mood.

Nylist continues to shape a sharp and focused sound. The riffs move with clear intent, and the atmosphere builds without slowing the pace. The project has been growing inside the underground scene, and this release shows that momentum. The new track feels like a statement. It shows confidence, and it hints at a heavy and driven full album.
