BMG’s digital release of Bruce Dickinson‘s third album “Skunkworks” in a brand-new Dolby Atmos version and a Dolby Atmos version of his debut solo album “Tattooed Millionaire” are in honor of the record’s 30th anniversary, as per Blabbermouth. These albums come after the highly regarded publication of Bruce Dickinson‘s second solo album, “More Balls To Picasso,” last year. The new mixes of “Skunkworks” and “Tattooed Millionaire” by Brendan Duffey are similar to that record and the Dolby Atmos edition of Bruce‘s most recent solo album, “The Mandrake Project.”

Since its 1996 debut, the album “Skunkworks” has gained recognition and respect. Bruce entered a more experimental and alternative realm with this album, which was first produced by Jack Endino of Nirvana, in contrast to his earlier solo and Iron Maiden efforts. The album, which was recorded as a band project with a fresh lineup of musicians, combined progressive and psychedelic aspects with grunge elements. Although there were disagreements among critics and fans when it was first published, it is today regarded as one of Bruce Dickinson‘s most fascinating and engaging works.

It will blow your socks off. It’s a record of which I’m immensely proud. In fact, as the years go by I grow more and more proud of everything that happened on that record. In many ways, it was a bit advanced for its time because we were bringing in all kinds of influences that other people in metal were scared of. It’s very emotional and quite dark in places.

Not only is the latest version of “Skunkworks” now accessible on all streaming services, but “Tattooed Millionaire” has also been released in Dolby Atmos. Produced by Chris Tsangarides, Bruce’s 1990 solo debut album featured a more simple hard-rock sound when he was still with Iron Maiden. Mott The Hoople’s cover of David Bowie‘s song “All The Young Dudes” was one of four U.K. Top 40 hits on the album.

‘Tattooed Millionaire’ was kind of the solo album that wasn’t. We had two weeks to write it so myself and Janick Gers just had fun and wrote it round his house. Chris Tsangarides did a great job on the production and now with modern technology we can beef it all up and make it BIG in Atmos world! The album sonically sounds really good.
