Now available a new mini-documentary about the reunion of God Forbid

Author Benedetta Baldin - 28.10.2024

Together with bands like Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, and Shadows Fall, the New Jersey-based band God Forbid helped create the metalcore and New Wave of American Heavy Metal sound in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They disbanded in 2013. In 2022, the band got back together for Virginia’s Blue Ridge Rock Festival. The narrative of how that reunion came to be and what the band members experienced is told in a new mini-documentary that was directed, filmed, and edited by Hector Gallardo for Subharmonic City Productions. In December 2024, God Forbid will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album “Gone Forever” by playing further reunion gigs.
