Nova Rock’s third day started with a lot of sunshine and a good mood. This day brought one of my recent favourite bands to the stage, the U.S. band Lorna Shore. A very awaited band from the fans yesterday was also Slipknot. See below what went down yesterday!
Quite a big crowd came out for the Australian hard rock band Airbourne. I could see a wide variety of different ages through the fans, older and younger seem to like this band. The band is often compared to AC/DC and I could see the similarities and why people say that during their show. The energy from the crowd and the band was huge. The singer walked around the stage a lot and interacted with the fans, which I appreciated. A lot of jumping and horns were thrown in the air. Quite a nice show with a touch of nostalgic hard rock music.
My favourite and most awaited band of this whole festival was the deathcore band Lorna Shore. And everything I expected was met during their performance. Banger vocals and heavy riffs met with pyros and a heated, sweaty, headbanging and moshing crowd to create a unforgettable show for all present. When listening to the singer Will Ramos I was always thinking about how it is possible for a human being to be able to scream like this. Absolutely amazing show and I think something that also non deathcore fans should experience. Just loved every second of it!
For Slipknot the people wandered again in masses towards the festival site and stages. Slipknot was at Nova Rock already a few years back and also this year this professionals put up a great show. The visuals and lights were quite dark, which was a bit dissapointing so you couldn’t really see the band a lot. But the songs, vocals and instruments made it still obviously worth watching them. They played quite a few of their hit songs and some less well known ones. I think Slipknot is always nice to see if you have the possibility to and I think the fans yesterday thought so too!
