Author Benedetta Baldin - 1.6.2026

Former Battle Beast lead singer Noora Louhimo has been declared the champion of the 2026 iteration of the Finnish music contest “Tähdet, Tähdet” (“Stars, Stars”), as per Blabbermouth. In this competition, nine well-known Finnish musicians vie for the honor of being the “Tähtien Tähti,” or Star Among Stars. Each week, the show explores a distinct musical genre, prompting the artists to adapt to diverse musical and lyrical styles for their interpretations of famous songs within that genre, which may be either Finnish or globally recognized, often pushing them past their usual boundaries. In the concluding episode of “Tähdet, Tähdet,” Noora competed against Venla Edelmann, Jukka Poika, and Aarne Pelkonen, performing a version of “My Heart Will Go On,” which was originally sung by Canadian artist Céline Dion as the theme song for the 1997 movie “Titanic. ” Earlier in the season, Noora delivered a cover of AC/DC‘s renowned hit “You Shook Me All Night Long” during the eighth episode focused on “Rock Classics,” in addition to a rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance. ”

Noora has been succeeded in Battle Beast by Marina La Torraca, a singer from São Paulo, Brazil. Marina is recognized as the strong lead singer of the contemporary metal band Phantom Elite and is also part of the symphonic metal group Exit Eden. Battle Beast’s inaugural performances featuring Marina occurred in March 2026 when the band toured Japan and Australia. Louhimo became a member of Battle Beast in 2012, having no prior experience in metal vocals but adapted rapidly as the successor to Nitte Valo, also known as Nitte Vänskä.

In November 2023, Louhimo disclosed that she had received a diagnosis of a torn left carotid artery, which led to the delay of Battle Beast’s tour. Battle Beast’s seventh album, titled “Steelbound”, was released in October 2025 through Nuclear Blast.
