The American heavy metal group Nonpoint is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The current lineup of the band includes lead guitarist Jaysin Zeilstra, bassist Adam Woloszyn, rhythm guitarist Rasheed Thomas, drummer Robb Rivera, and vocalist Elias Soriano.
Rivera and Soriano founded Nonpoint in 1997. In the 1990s, they put out two indie demo albums. In 2000, they released “Statement”, their major label debut album. Nonpoint has put out a number of albums over the years; their most recent, “X”, was released in 2018. In addition to their continuous touring, the band’s music has been included in a number of video games, films, and soundtracks. Nonpoint announced the establishment of 361 Degrees Records, an independent record label, in April 2021.
Robb Rivera, a drummer, started a band called Nonpoint Factor in the early 1990s. Rivera was the only consistent member of the band, which issued a number of demos and had a constantly shifting lineup. The band’s name was condensed to just Nonpoint by 1997, and the lineup was rearranged to include Andrew Goldman on guitar, Elias Soriano on vocals, Ken MacMillan on bass, and Rivera on drums.
