After four years of investigating allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault against Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner), the Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman has decided not to pursue criminal charges. The decision was based on expired statute of limitations and insufficient evidence for conviction.
In a statement, Hochman praised the women who came forward: “We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward… While we are unable to bring charges in this matter, we recognize that their strong advocacy has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.“
The investigation began in 2021 with a raid on Manson’s West Hollywood home. While most accusers remained anonymous, Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco was identified as one of them.
Manson‘s attorney Howard King responded: “We are very pleased that… the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start – Brian Warner is innocent.“
