In a new released video on Nightwish’s YouTube channel, Joanne H. Cooper, Senior Curator at the Natural History Museum at Tring (UK), where the music video of the Nightwish song “Perfume of the Timeless” was filmed, discusses this previously mentioned filming process.
“We do a lot of filming at the Museum, but we don’t do creative filming and we’ve never done a music video. So to be a part of that process, has just been extraordinary.” Joanne H. Cooper, Senior Curator at the Natural History Museum at Tring
For the Senior Curator Nightwish has helped the museum to get out a message that they as a museum try to get out to the people – the environmental issues and biodiversity loss that is going on in the world right now.
“We’re working normally with these collection of scientific research with people trying to find out more about the natural world and a really big part of what we do is try and explain that and try and share that with people. So the kind of the momentum that’s gaining out in the wider world with the awareness of all these different environmental issues and biodiversity loss being a huge one – that we’re kind of monitor here [and] […] the impact of getting that message out there in all these different ways – and Nightwish have been so influential in that. It’s a privilege to be actually having a new way to work with the collection and help keep getting that message across in ways that we as scientists wouldn’t normally think.” Joanne H. Cooper, Senior Curator at the Natural History Museum at Tring
