The midweek results of the official UK album charts are in, and Brighton rockers Royal Blood are currently on their way to a fourth consecutive Number One with “Back To The Water Below“.

Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher’s new LP outsells its nearest rival (The 1975) by two to one, following in the footsteps of their 2014 self-titled debut, 2017’s “How Did We Get So Dark?” and 2021’s “Typhoons” in sitting at the top of the charts.

Elsewhere on the midweek album chart, Reading-born rockers Slowdive are at number three with “Everything Is Alive” and Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós are at number four with their latest album “Atta”.

Biffy Clyro singer Simon Neil’s metal project with former Oceansize vocalist Mike Vennart, Empire State Bastard, is currently at number 7 with their debut LP “Rivers of Heresy”.
