On Tuesday, August 13th, and Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, and Steve Jones will band together to save Bush Hall, a historic concert venue located in West London. The legendary 1977 album “Never Mind The Bollocks” by the Sex Pistols, one of the most influential rock bands of all time, will be performed in its entirety at Bush Hall with the addition of electric frontman Frank Carter. The proceeds from these must-see performances will be used specifically to maintain this venerable independent London theatre. The day of the ticket sale is tomorrow by clicking here.
Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols are passionate about supporting Bush Hall, a vital part of the music community. Paul Cook and Steve Jones were raised near the venue and went as fans, and Frank Carter had his live debut at Bush Hall in 2012 with his previous band, Pure Love. Carter, a longtime fan of the Sex Pistols, first spoke with Steve Jones in 2008 during an interview on Steve’s radio show. Through mutual connections, Frank then got to know the other band members. They quickly became friends due to their passion of live music and made the decision to play at the venerable London venue as a way to support its preservation.
This has been a joy from start to finish. When the Sex Pistols call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of it.
Frank Carter
We’re doing a benefit for Bush Hall with the famous Frank Carter. We’re going to be playing Pistols numbers ’cause they need support and they need the money. We thought it would be a great way to stop it going under. This is my local venue. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live round here. It would be a real shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going. So everyone get down to the gig! Paul Cook
If it all goes wrong, it’s Paul’s fucking fault. Steve Jones
I tend to agree with Steve. Smaller music venues are the lifeblood of new music. It’s in these intimate spaces that raw talent gets a chance to shine, where bands can really connect with their audiences, and where the spirit of live music truly comes alive so we need to keep them going.
Glen Matlock
In the center of West London lies a popular grassroots venue called Bush Hall. Protecting independent venues and encouraging this essential sector of the music industry is more critical than ever because, ever since the epidemic, live music has been increasingly difficult to sustain. Bush Hall experienced a 24.5% decline in live music bookings in 2023. The proceeds from ticket sales will go toward securing Bush Hall’s musical future, freeing up the venue team to concentrate on improving internal amenities and reviving their Bush Hall Presents programs to support up-and-coming performers.
Without treasured music venues like Bush Hall, we wouldn’t have the festival headliners of today. Bush Hall is where artists cut their teeth and hone their craft. It’s essential that these venues continue to exist for the music industry to thrive and evolve. That’s non-negotiable. Thanks to the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter for stepping up — this gig will be one hell of a night. John Giddings, promoter
Many notable names have performed there, including R.E.M., Amy Winehouse, Florence & The Machine, Toots & The Maytals, Adele, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Michael Kiwanuka, Alicia Keys, Paul Weller, Nick Cave and Bombay Bicycle Club.
We love putting on the music and giving musicians a platform to perform on our stage, in an intimate space, that is up close and personal with the audience. We want and need to keep this going. So, a massive thanks from all at Bush Hall to the legends that are the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter.

The Sex Pistols were a life-changing band for me, so it’s an honour to collaborate with them, along with Frank Carter, who shares the Pistols’ spirit but throws his own gas on the fire! Shepard Fairey
