Brooklyn-based duo Netherlands has released the single “Deathling” once again, following their recent fuzz-laden track “Black Fractal.” Although “Deathling” originally debuted back in 2013 on the album “Silicon Vapor”, the band appears to be highlighting it anew alongside their latest output.

“Black Fractal”, released in late July, is a high-energy, sludge-infused track that merges psych-noise elements with intense live performance energy. The single was released to showcase the band’s chaotic hooks, hypnotic riffs, and experimental live sound.

Meanwhile, “Deathling” has resurfaced in their promotions. Originally part of their earlier studio material, the song has now been re-released, aligning its rollout with the energy and aesthetic of “Black Fractal”. It’s a move that brings renewed attention to a track that played a key role in shaping the band’s early identity.

Formed in 2012, Netherlands has honed a unique blend of sludge, post-punk, psych, and progressive noise. Their sound features falsetto vocals, odd time signatures, and a heavy, unpredictable rhythm section. With these two singles—one live, one revisited—the band seems to be bridging past and present, offering a look at how their creative voice has evolved while staying true to its roots.
