Nerve End, a cult name in Finnish progressive metal, seals its 18-year career with a single release titled “Banquet for Your Master“. The song is available on all streaming services. The track will be the band’s last.

The band members will remain active in the field of music: Drummer Janne Mieskonen will begin a European tour with his band Royal Sorrow at the end of October. Bassist Olli Paajanen is currently working on an album with his band Indistinct, set for release next year, and is focusing on developing his YouTube channel @Paajanenae. Guitarist Lauri Mäntynen continues his work with Bluhaus Studios and as a music producer and writer for Elements Music. Singer-guitarist Joonas Kaselius will continue making music under a new artist name.

During its career, Nerve End toured the Finnish gig circuit, performing alongside bands such as: The Black Dahlia Murder, Stone, Stam1na, Battle Beast, Mokoma, and Omnium Gatherum.

Joonas Kaselius comments on the situation: “Our band is breaking up on excellent terms. We are eternally grateful to everyone who has been a part of the band’s journey. At the core of Nerve End’s music has always been the ambition to operate at the extreme limits of our own abilities and creativity. This activity requires a huge amount of dedication, time and money. Unfortunately, the current life situations of the members do not permit the required level of devotion. It would also be a great injustice to continue operating at a less than full capacity, while simultaneously taking precious time away from the members other projects.”

The track “Banquet for Your Master” was mixed and mastered by Rami Nykänen, who has worked with bands such as: Crownshift, Shiraz Lane, Bloodred Hourglass, Royal Sorrow and Block of Flats.
