Necrot sign to Metal Blade Records

Oakland death metal trio Necrot have signed with Metal Blade Records as they head into their fifteenth year as a band. The trio confirm a new album is in the works. They also join the 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour this spring.

The band expressed confidence that Metal Blade’s nearly 45 years of supporting extreme metal worldwide makes it the right home for this new chapter.

Founded in Oakland in 2011, Necrot features former members of Bay Area acts Acephalix, Vastum, and Saviours. Their debut LP “Blood Offerings” landed at number 29 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart. It also took number 4 on Decibel Magazine’s Top 40 Albums of 2017. Most recently, 2024’s “Lifeless Birth” debuted at number 3 on Billboard’s Top New Artist chart. The record also placed on the Current Hard Music Albums and Independent Record Label charts.

The upcoming Decibel Magazine Tour runs 30 dates across the United States and Canada. Necrot headlines several shows under their “Into the Labyrinth” banner and shares the bill with technical death metal veterans Cryptopsy, Italian brutal death metallers Fulci, and death/grind newcomers Blood Monolith. The band also confirms a run of European festival appearances across summer 2026.
