Houston black metal force Necrofier are gearing up for a massive new chapter as they prepare to release their third album, “Transcend into Oblivion”, on February 27th, 2026. The record marks their first outing with Metal Blade Records, and it pushes their fiery blend of Texas grit and classic Norwegian chill further than ever. The band also dropped a new single, “Servants of Darkness, Guide My Way I”, which arrives with a video that sets the tone for the album’s bleak journey.
Since forming in 2018, the band has sharpened a sound that thrives on raw intensity and melodic shadows. Their new record expands that identity with a concept tied to transformation. Vocalist and guitarist Bakka explains that the album follows a Luciferian Dark Night of the Soul. He says the writing process took him deeper into his own chaos. He also notes that the new material reaches the place he always hoped the band could go.
The album unfolds across three acts. Each explores awakening, torment and rebirth. Early tracks reflect unsettling visions that spark a burning shift. The middle act dives into struggle and doubt while the closing section focuses on rising through the darkness. Bakka describes the single as a look into the suffering that fuels change. He adds that the torment shapes you even as it threatens your sanity.
“Transcend into Oblivion” was recorded in Houston at Southwing Studios and House Of Thorns. Joel Hamilton produced and mixed the album, which features artwork by José Gabriel Alegría Sabogal. The album can be preordered from here.
