Motörhead’s “The Manticore Tapes” coming this June

Author Benedetta Baldin - 9.5.2025

Legendary heavy metal/hard rock band Motörhead will release a “lost” 1976 album on June 27th. During the band’s “Three Amigos” phase, which featured guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke, drummer Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, and singer/bassist Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, the effort was recorded at Manticore Studio in Fullham, London. Although they were technically rehearsal sessions, the songs recorded here were the first to be recorded by the group. In honor of the band’s 50th anniversary, Cameron Webb was entrusted with preserving the content from the original sessions, which will now be made available as “The Manticore Tapes.” You can preorder your copy by clicking here.
