It’s no secret that Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister was an avid collector of Nazi memorabilia. Over the years, Kilmister’s collection grew to a huge size, and the singer-bassist was happy to show it off.
On 4 June, a Venezuelan fan of the band posted the following on social media:
“RIP Lemmy…although he had his Nazi tendency, he always seemed to me the best rocker in history…of course after Hendrix, whose assistant he was at concerts.”
The tweet in question caught the eye of Motörhead’s Phil Campbell, who decided to set the record straight:
“FYI, Lemmy DID NOT, have any Nazi tendencies. He was a historian.”
