In honor of Mötley Crüe’s 45th anniversary, you can commemorate this milestone with the “Live Wire” EP, available for Record Store Day on April 18, as per Blabbermouth. This radio-only promo EP, which has been out of print for 45 years, will be released for the first time ever on 12-inch color vinyl, featuring newly designed cover art. For further details and a directory of participating independent record shops, visit recordstoreday.com. The song “Live Wire” was initially released as a single on August 16, 1982. It was also featured on Mötley Crüe’s first album, “Too Fast For Love,” which was first released in a limited capacity through Leathür Records in 1981. The following year, the band secured a contract with Elektra Records, and after the album underwent remixes and a revised tracklist, “Too Fast For Love” received a broader distribution.
