More metal music surpasses the billion streams on Spotify – here’s the complete list

There are now more bands on Spotify’s Billions Club playlist, as per theprp. A single song’s inclusion on the list denotes one billion plays on the well-known digital service provider. Three Days Grace‘s “Animal I Have Become,” Foo Fighters’ “The Pretender,” Soundgarden‘s “Black Hole Sun,” Red Hot Chilli Peppers‘ “Dani California,” System Of A Down‘s “Lonely Day,” and Disturbed‘s rendition of Simon & Garfunkel‘s “The Sound Of Silence” have all surpassed the one billion play mark in recent weeks. The song by Disturbed became nine times multi-platinum. “Animal I Have Become” by Three Days Grace comes near with eight times. “Dani California” by Red Hot Chilli Peppers is five times platinum, “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters is two times platinum, and “Lonely Day” by System of A Down is platinum.

Since the previously stated 90s song from the grunge titans has not yet received any official certification, one would presume that Soundgarden‘s catalogue needs an accounting update from the RIAA. Funk rock legends Red Hot Chilli Peppers have the most inclusions in the Billions Club among this new generation; this is their eighth song to reach that milestone.
