US death metal veterans Monstrosity have announced their new album “Screams from Beneath the Surface,” set for release on March 13 through Metal Blade Records. The record marks the band’s first full-length in seven years and focuses on a direct, aggressive sound rather than reinvention. As a result, Monstrosity double down on precision, speed, and intensity.
The album features ten tracks and introduces a reinforced lineup led by drummer and founder Lee Harrison. He is joined by long-time guitarist Matt Barnes, returning original bassist Mark Van Erp, and vocalist Ed Webb, formerly of Massacre.
Together, they deliver tightly written death metal built on sharp riffing and controlled structures. While songs like “Banished To The Skies” and “The Atrophied” push relentless momentum, tracks such as “The Dark Aura” and “Fortunes Engraved In Blood” add darker textures without softening the impact.
Ahead of the release, the band has shared the first single “The Colossal Rage.” The track hits immediately with dense riffs, forceful vocals, and driving low-end. Barnes’ lead work cuts through the mix, while Harrison’s drumming keeps everything locked in. “Screams from Beneath the Surface” will be available on CD, digital formats, and vinyl, with the full track list rounding out a focused and punishing return.
